Nestled high above the Worth Valley, with breath-taking views over the Brontë Sisters' famous
moors, the Grouse Inn offers a true Yorkshire welcome.
You can be assured of the very best in home-cooked food, real Yorkshire Ales (from Timothy
Taylor's, no less!), a well-stocked wine cellar and a view to match any in the country.
There is a patio / beer garden & grassed area to enjoy in the summer, and real open fires in winter add to the warmth of welcome you will receive here at the Grouse Inn.
Previously winners of the Times / Pimms Pub of the Year, whilst at another local
establishment, the current management team took over at The Grouse
in 2000 and the Inn re-opened shortly afterwards following a major refurbishment.
In
2005, under its current ownership, the Grouse Inn underwent a massive new extension,
with a complete refit & refurbishment completed to the highest standards. The Grouse Inn
has retained its rural charm and infectious atmosphere, with excellent
service & great food served 7 days a week throughout the day, cooked
on-site from only the freshest local produce.
Business co-owner, Mark, was previously a butcher, and so ensures that only the very best meat and poultry are used for our dishes.
Karl, co-owner, licensee & head-chef, is hands-on in the kitchen & bar, whilst Mollie and her very capable staff look after the front of house.
The Grouse Inn also welcomes the live-in management couple - Adam & Michelle.
In the kitchen Karl and Dean are the creative talents behind our reputation for really great food.

Came last night, had a superb meal (the beef Wellington was divine) and will come again ... Just been looking at your website and the extension photos are great. In fact, I think we sat in it last night and didn't even notice it was an extension, such a good job has been done. We'll come next time in the daytime to admire the views.
